SUMMARY:SYRREO FESTIVAL
DESCRIPTION:“Beauty is truth\, truth beauty\,—that is all / Ye know on earth\, and all ye need to know.” — John Keats\, Ode on a Grecian Urn \nFor 22 years\, the SYRREO FESTIVAL has been growing. It has taken root. It has been opening horizons. It does not only offer top classical music and Opera concerts: it offers experience\, memory\, continuity. In 2026\, it brings to Syros artistic events that no one can find anywhere else in Greece outside of Athens. And at the same time\, it is taking off! In the musical education of children. In the promotion of the music and texts of ancient Greece. In substantive scientific activities\, which illuminate for the Cycladic audience the European identity that was based on Greece. With a special honor\, it also undertakes the anniversary concert for the 200th anniversary of Ermoupolis. \nWe warmly thank the Municipality\, the Region of South Aegean and our sponsors. Because SYRREO has achieved something rare: to unite the Aegean of holidays with culture and education. And I hope that the “haves” will want to participate: to leave not just a trace of personal wealth\, but their name associated with a project that highlighted Greece’s European identity. \nMore info available soon
