The Municipality of Syros\u2013Ermoupolis Honors the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
\nFour-Day Series of Music Therapy Events for Children with Special Educational Needs, Caregivers, Parents, Educators, Therapists, and Musicians<\/p>\n

The Municipality of Syros\u2013Ermoupolis, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3 December), is organizing a special four-day program of music therapy events for children with special educational needs. The initiative aims to enhance social awareness, promote inclusion, and highlight music as a tool for communication and therapy.<\/p>\n
The program is organized by the Department of Education and the Cultural Office of the Municipality, with the support of the Special Kindergarten of Ermoupolis. The goal of this initiative is to bring together all special education structures of our island in a celebration of music, creativity, and collaboration. It offers a unique opportunity for children and participants to experience music therapy, express themselves, and share their creations with the community.<\/p>\n
WHAT THIS INITIATIVE OFFERS<\/p>\n
Free participation in all workshops<\/p>\n
Morning activities integrated into school hours so that no student misses the experience<\/p>\n
Opportunities to get acquainted with music therapy and to strengthen students\u2019 self-confidence<\/p>\n
Strengthening cooperation and exchange of good practices among special education structures<\/p>\n
Participation in all workshops is free of charge.<\/p>\n
