RECITAL FOR VOICE AND PIANO

Matilde takes us on a journey through her childhood in Greece in the 1960-70. Her mother, Bibi, is a Danish painter who traveled, painted and has lived in Greece since the 1960s.
Matildes studies and career have been in opera and classical music. After many years, she chose Syros as her island.

Michael was born in Zimbabwe and educated in the UK. He first visited Syros for the Aegean Festival a decade ago.
Matilde and Michael perform music by composers inspired by Greece.
We will hear excerpts from Bibi’s diaries describing her life and travels here.
The voice of Bibi will be interpreted by Vera Efthimiou.
