Plot: Year 2026, tonight – now. Ermoupolis, inside the ‘’ Apollon ’’ theatre. Enter Alezia, an AI scientist, and Beatrice, a historian specialising in Syros, for a secret meeting with Messias,the Mayor of Syros-Ermoupolis. They must help him prevent a plan by President Pamp of the I.P.A. to transform the island into a desert snailfield, and restore Syros to its 19th century glory,while playing a “double game” as Pamp’s agents. Whether Messias chooses desolation or restoration, he is obliged to educate himself in local history. Syros’ 3 most prominent intellectuals – Emmanuel Roídis, Georgios Souris, Kostis Bastias – undertake this. Are they spirits, robots, people?
With absolute historical accuracy, original teaching methods, invisible creatures, “theatrewithintheatre”, but also endless comic explosions of laughter and satire, they advance the continuously twisting plot towardsa finale that turns everything upside down! A performance of multifaceted characters, highlighting magic, mystery, emotions, socio-political reality; the future in relief! Attention: The audience will also be invited to vote!
