The Conservatorio Puccini La Spezia, in collaboration with the Hellenic Opera Corporation and the Municipality of Syros-Hermoupolis, presents Claudio Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at the historic Apollon Theatre in Ermoupoli, Syros, on Saturday, October 11, 2025. This international co-production is supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture and features participation from leading institutions such as the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, the Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Roma, and several of Italy’s most prestigious conservatories.
With the distinguished Baroque Ensemble MTNT (Music Theatre & New Technologies) under the baton of Federico Bardazzi, this fully staged production promises an immersive musical and theatrical experience. A remarkable cast of singers, musicians, and creatives from across Europe will bring Monteverdi’s masterpiece to life, blending historical authenticity with bold artistic expression. Audiences will enjoy a full Baroque orchestra, choir, and rich stage design that capture the emotional and mythological depth of L’Orfeo. This performance stands as a major cultural event, enhancing the vibrant artistic identity of Syros and attracting opera lovers from across Greece and beyond.
