On Friday, January 3rd , the audience of Syros – and beyond – will have the exceptional opportunity to attend and enjoy a remarkable concert, where the younger generation takes centre stage under the guidance and direction of Stavros Xarchakos.
The aim of this concert is to financially support the music school “En Hordais & Organois”, and to ensure the sustainability and growth of its activities.
In an era dominated by technology, where people of all ages are immersed in their screens, Stavros Xarchakos invites us all to actively support and encourage the younger generation in order to engage creatively with music. It is vital to carry on our musical traditions and to provide children with opportunities to develop their minds, skills and talents.

ABOUT “EN HORDAIS & ORGANOIS”

“En Hordais & Organois” was founded by Stavros Xarchakos in Syros, the birthplace of Markos Vamvakaris, and since then it has been counting seven years of artistic activity. It is a distinctive music school and a talent incubator whose mission is to preserve the musical tradition, including folk, rebetiko, and byzantine music. This initiative has been under the voluntary support of George Dalaras, Manolis Mitsias, Nikos Kypourgos, Iro Saia, and others, through their participation in the School’s programmes and performances up to the present day.

Today, nearly nine years later, “En Hordais & Organois”, has evolved into an extroverted hub of musical culture.
On Friday, January 3 rd , Stavros Xarchakos will perform on the stage of the Apollon Theatre, collaborating with the teachers and students of the School for a unique concert!

The songs will be performed by Iro Saia, Zaharias Karounis and Neoklis Neofitidis.
