The year 2025 is a dedication year to the founder of the Festival, Peter Tiboris, who passed away suddenly in the fall of 2024. It was 20 years ago that he started the Festival conducting RossiniΆs Barbieri di Siviglia. To honor Peter, we will return to Rossini, while presenting more of his favorite composers in concert and full opera productions.

JULY 21: THE BARBER OF SEVILLE FOR CHILDREN

This performance is the annual children’s Opera Lecture dedicated to the
continuation of building culture for all generations on the island of Syros. The
Greek Opera Studio participants will perform scenes from the opera Barber of
Seville, with the combination of music education with the BRAVO! BRAVA!
Lecture in both Greek and English with the MC, Marios Kazas and Pianist /
Conductor Andrej Naunov.

The Well-loved annual Greek Opera Studio Gala features the 2025 young artists
in staged opera scenes from famous operas. Each Young Artist will present
Arias, Duets and ensemble numbers from famous opera composers, such as
