A town which loves and celebrates

15/02/2026 @ 19:00 - 21:00

The Lyceum of Greek Women of Syros presents at the Apollon Theatre a multifaceted performance dedicated to Ermoupoli, on the occasion of the city’s 200th anniversary and the Carnival celebrations.

Through narration, live music, song, and dance, the city is brought to life and unfolds its journey through time:
it is born from waves and human memories, falls in love in its alleys and squares, and finally bursts into celebration, as only Carnival knows how.

The performance is structured in three parts:
The City Is Born – The City Falls in Love – The City Celebrates.
Ermoupoli is portrayed as a living organism—urban, elegant, popular, and festive all at once—holding on to its memory while never ceasing to dance.

Traditional and contemporary dances, Carnival couplets, wordplay, masks, and ribbons come together in a stage narrative where love, laughter, and collective joy become a shared rhythm.

A celebration of the city and its people.
An ode to life, to love, and to the joy of being together.

On the fifteenth of February, at the APOLLON, reserve your seat,
for our celebration is one you’re sure to enjoy!

We’re waiting for you—seven o’clock sharp,
for right away the song and dance will start!
