A Dynamic Visual Tribute to the Figures Who Shaped the City and Its Culture

The Municipality of Syros–Ermoupolis will respectfully mark the official opening of the anniversary celebrations, honoring the memory and spirit of the first inhabitants of Ermoupolis on the very day the city celebrates 200 years since its naming.

A unique audiovisual installation (projection video mapping) will be presented. The monumental façade of the Historic Municipal Theater Apollon is transformed into a living canvas of light, image, and sound, narrating the history and the figures who shaped the city and its culture. Each scene and every light highlight the memory, values, and soul of Ermoupolis, creating an emotional connection between the audience and the city’s collective heritage.

Through this magical fusion of image and sound, the history of Ermoupolis comes alive before our eyes, reminding us that a city is not just buildings and streets—it is the people, moments, and memories that have shaped it and continue to inspire it.
