Cancellation of Syros Healing Waves 2026
It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of Syros Healing Waves 2026.
In light of the climate that has emerged in the public discourse following the rapid developments of recent days, we have decided that it is not possible to proceed with this year’s event.
This decision concerns exclusively the circumstances surrounding the organisation of this year’s festival.
The organisation will proceed with the full settlement of all legal and contractual financial obligations towards its partners and suppliers, as well as the full refund of all amounts paid for tickets and financial sponsorships for this year’s event. The relevant procedures will begin immediately, and all entitled parties will be contacted individually with further information.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Municipality of Syros–Ermoupoli, our invited guests, partners, sponsors, and everyone who believed in the vision of this festival.
With appreciation,
The Organising Team of

Syros Healing Waves Experience
The Complexity of Simplicity – From Shame to Pleasure
Tickets are available through the event’s official website:
syroshealingwaves.com
For four days, Syros becomes a vibrant meeting point for science, art, and social responsibility. Syros Healing Waves 2 is an interdisciplinary event that bridges contemporary scientific knowledge with lived experience, culture, and public dialogue.
With the central theme “The Complexity of Simplicity – From Shame to Pleasure,” more than twenty distinguished scientists and renowned creators come together to shape a high-level programme featuring evidence-based talks, experiential workshops, artistic collaborations, musical performances, and initiatives dedicated to inclusion and equal participation.
The opening ceremony will take place symbolically at the “Agios Panteleimon” Nursing Home of Ermoupolis, highlighting older adults as a living and vital part of the community, while placing care and intergenerational connection at the heart of public life.
The event culminates in the symbolic short-distance road race “Run as One,” an open and inclusive route that reminds us that public space belongs to everyone — every body, every person.
We invite you to take an active part. To listen. To move. To connect.
Syros welcomes you.
