World Father’s Day

This Day has been established to be celebrated in Greece on the third Sunday of June to honor the role and
magnitude of the father’s contribution to life. In Syros it is now an institution. It is co-organized by the Cultural
Association of Ano Syros and the South Aegean Region with the support of the Municipality of Syros – Ermoupolis
and the contribution of the following cultural organisations: Hermoupolis Association of Asia Minor, Peloponnesian
Association “O Geros tou Moria”, Gelissas, Poseidonia Cultural Association “O Poseidon”, “Agios Stefanos”, Galissas,
Chroussa, Navy wives association “Agira” , Nautical Ecological Cultural Club of Kini & The Community of Ano Syros.
The event includes greetings by the organizations and clubs, the Central Speech of the Day, awards, and a small
concert.
