An Unfortunate Lady

The Non-Profit Group ARTE presents its rendition of the beloved Greek comedy by Alekos Sakellarios, “An Unfortunate Lady”.

Synopsis: Leonidas Petrocheilos, a widowed shipping school director with three sons, grapples with restoring order to the chaos in his household. The arrival of the female presence in his life marks a significant turning point for the incorrigible “bachelor”. A tapestry of secrets and lies, anxieties, romances, melodies, and choreographies unfolds. But what will occur as the tapestry begins to unravel?

Directed by Dimitra Dermizaki, the production features the talents of 30 amateur actors. Merging a passion for the arts with philanthropy, the Non-Profit Group “ARTE” organizes events and theatrical performances the proceeds of which are donated to charitable causes. The performance was presented with great success in February at the Theater of the Athens College.

The Anthony E. Comninos Foundation, as the sponsor of the performances, will match the ticket proceeds and donate them to the Cyclades Association of Cancer Patients & Friends and to the Geriatric Hospital of Syros – Agios Panteleimon – Philoptochos Society of Ermoupolis.
