World Music Day

The Municipality of Syros – Ermoupolis celebrates World Music Day with a special cultural event. In the “Apollon” Theatre, which is celebrating 160 years of operation, the international event will host the well known artist Georgios – Emmanuel Lazaridis, who has gone through a long thirty-year artistic journey as a solist, composer and teacher in Greece and abroad, and the unique composer Nikos Kypourgos as the director of the Orchestra of Cyclades.

Also, on this unique evening, the inauguration of the new piano of the Theatre, will be held, as a generous donation of Mrs. Despina Paraskevaidou, who has supported in many ways the culture of Syros and for years contributes to its preservation and projection.
