DOCUMENTING HERITAGE FESTIVAL

Documenting Heritage Festival at Syros Island revolves around a collective effort focused on projecting aspects of preserving all tangible and intangible cultural heritage assets, through the documentation with several ways. The aim for this project is to emerge the public as an active participant in the work of preservation, creating the framework of an open discussion.

It is an innovative Festival, the first of its kind in Greece, which will host projects and personalities from the field of research, science, and arts, about documenting – protecting cultural heritage, in all its applications.

The program will include documentary screenings, interactive educational workshops upon preservation, music events and student competitions.

The structure of the three-day Festival aims to integrate all people, to cultivate awareness on good practices and its relevant applications, at a local and international level.
